Quick definition: Most comprehensive Medigap plan, but closed to those new to Medicare after 2020-01-01.

Full explanation

Medigap Plan F covers everything Medicare Parts A and B leave you with, including the Part B annual deductible. Federal law closed Plan F (and Plan C) to anyone who became Medicare-eligible on or after January 1, 2020 — those enrollees pick Plan G or Plan N instead. Existing Plan F enrollees can keep it indefinitely. Because the Plan F risk pool is closed and aging, Plan F rate increases tend to outpace Plan G — many longtime Plan F holders eventually switch via medical underwriting if they remain in good health.
