Quick definition: Algorithmic life insurance underwriting with no medical exam — same rate classes as fully-underwritten.

Full explanation

Accelerated underwriting (AU) uses algorithmic review of MIB records, prescription history (Rx Hub), motor vehicle records, public records, and a questionnaire — no paramed exam, no blood draw. Decisions typically arrive in 1-7 days. Available up to $1M-$2M depending on carrier and applicant profile. Crucially, AU produces the SAME rate classes (Preferred Plus through Substandard) as fully-underwritten policies — there is no rate penalty for skipping the exam. Healthy applicants get the same rates faster. Failed AU triggers automatic rollover to traditional underwriting.
